Safety and Fun in Agoura Hills

On Saturday, May 20, the City of Agoura Hills and the Los Angeles Country Fire Department held their 6th Annual Fire Service & Public Safety Day at Fire Station 89. Attendees got to meet local firefighters while taking part in activities, events, and demonstrations. Activities and events included operating a fire hose, seeing and meeting local CERT teams and Lost Hills sheriff station, seeing an open ambulance, and seeing fire apparatus displays and the canine search and rescue teams. Demonstrations included the vehicle extrication demonstration, a helicopter flyover, and sidewalk CPR. Hot dogs, snow cones, and a “Kidz Zone,” featuring a DJ, were also a part of the day that took place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Local organizations such as the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, Lost Hills Sheriff Station, as well as local public safety entities also had interactive activities as well.
