Local Calabasas Girls Awarded in Dance Convention

Local Calabasas girls recently traveled to Las Vegas for their third year to partake in the renowned dance convention Hollywood Connection. The dancers took dance classes for two days from prestigious teachers from around the country with credits from Broadway, television, and film.

The dancers, who train at Calabasas Academy of Dance, competed for two nights. Awards received at the competition include: Marcy Russ, 1^st place in category; Erille Weiss, Platinum Award, 2^nd place in category; Rachel Reiff and Rachel Rubenstein, Platinum Award, 1^st place in category; Junior Tap Team, Gold Medal, 2^nd place in category; Senior Tap Team, Platinum Award, 2^nd place in category; and Senior Company, Platinum Award.

The Calabasas Academy of Dance won awards in a variety of categories, including Best Choreography, Best Overalls, and Elite Platinum High Scores.
