Connecting a Caring Community Holiday Shopping Boutique
The ongoing work of Connecting a Caring Community, the “Legacy of Giving” fund in honor of Marty Goldstein, hosted its 5th Annual Holiday Shopping Boutique benefitting the patients and families at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. This year’s event was organized by co-founder Lisa Kodimer and took place in Calabasas. Many people also participated online. Each donation brought love and joy to a hospitalized child this holiday season.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, this holiday celebration was more meaningful than ever before, where pediatric patients could also shop for caregivers. The event featured a gingerbread village with over 75 beautiful hand-decorated gingerbread houses. Each child at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital received a gingerbread house kit to decorate and a warm and cozy Sherpa blanket to wrap themselves in love. The event also fulfilled the holiday wish list of 10 adopted families.
