12th Annual Friendship Walk

On June 3, more than two hundred participants joined together for the 12th Annual Friendship Walk to raise programming funds for children with special needs and their families. The walk was a wonderful opportunity for individuals and teams to come together in a proud demonstration of community awareness, festivity, and unity, all while enjoying a fun-filled event and making a difference in the lives of children with special needs.

Established in 2003, the Conejo Valley Friendship Circle is a local nonprofit organization that serves more than two hundred families in the West San Fernando Valley and Conejo Valley. More than three hundred teens volunteer to be “buddy” to the special needs kids in the Friendship Circle. The teens form friendships and share activities with children diagnosed with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADD, and other emotional or physical challenges.
