WESTLAKE YACHT CLUB
JUNIOR SAILING ACADEMY


This summer, the Westlake Yacht Club will, once again, conduct its Summer Junior Sailing Academy for students ages 9 to 18, headed by Rear Commodore Michael Koslow. Recognized in 2018
as the Best Junior Sailing Program on the West Coast by the Pacific Coast Yachting Association, this program is great for kids to learn to begin sailing or sharpen their skills for racing if they have prior experience.

There are eight weekly sessions starting the week of June 10 to August 12, Monday through Friday, with a break over the July 4th holiday. Students are encouraged to register for multiple sessions beginning April 1. Lessons include classroom instruction and supervised, hands-on lake sailing to learn boat rigging, docking, racing, and emergency preparedness while sailing on 15 single-handed RS-Tera, Lasers, and C14 double-handed racing dinghies. THE BOULEVARD SCHOOL

The Boulevard School has been recognized as one of the premier preschool education centers in the San Fernando Valley since 1974. Their summer camp is a 7.5-week program open to children aged 18 months through entry to 1st grade. While The Boulevard School operates year-round, their summer camp is open to non-Boulevard students. The camp is staffed by the same certified early education teachers that teach during the school year. The camp offers great summer fun for kids, with a variety of waterplay activities, including individual swim lessons and group swim in the large, heated pool. Other fun activities include singing, music, drama, dance, arts and crafts, STEM, gymnastics, soccer, and karate enrichment classes that keep kids engaged.

Dance this summer at CDT.

Camps, workshops, and intensives will be in full bloom this summer at California Dance Theatre (CDT) in Westlake Village with an array of dance opportunities for pre-school through pre-professional
dance students.

Rockstars/Popstars is a high energy co-ed dance camp for children, while Budding Ballerinas explores the beauty of classical ballet. CDT’s popular Dance & Fly workshop returns, offering the
