University Village Employee Stars

Kristy Ferguson and Paty Pena were named the 2017 STARs of the Year at University Village retirement community and OakView, the adjacent health center, in Thousand Oaks. The annual STAR of the Year employee award program, now in its third year, recognizes staff members who provide outstanding service to residents.

Ferguson is the excursion coordinator for University Village’s activities department. She is responsible for planning the community’s offsite excursions to concerts, theatrical productions, ball games, and museums as well as other events.

Pena is a unit secretary in OakView Health Center’s skilled-nursing department and was instrumental in helping the department transition from paper medical records to electronic records.
