Heart and Sole at Stuart Weitzman

Shoe lovers came together for a shop-ping event with heart at Stuart Weitzman at the Topanga Mall on February 24, benefiting the American Heart Association (AHA). The Heart & Sole event, hosted by Stuart Weitzman and AHA volunteer Hemali Dave, drew more than 40 guests who enjoyed sips and bites and learned heart-health tips from UCLA Health cardiologist Sheila Sahni. The event raised $2,000 for AHA. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, claiming nearly 801,000 lives each year – about one of every three deaths in America. About 92.1 million American adults are living with some form of cardiovascular disease. The American Heart Association’s mission is building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Its goal by 2020 is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20% while reducing deaths from cardio-vascular disease and stroke by 20%.
