Boys & Girls Club 9th Annual Golf Classic

Local golfers participated in the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Conejo Valley’s 9^th Annual Golf Classic on June 11 at Moorpark Country Club to help raise funds for local youth.

The day’s events included an opening breakfast, exciting contests, lunch, hosted cocktail reception and dinner, live auction, opportunity drawings, and an awards presentation. New this year was the 2018 Golf School for those who are new to golf or simply wanted to improve their game. Golf School included a swing, chipping, and putting clinic; lessons provided by Moorpark Country Club PGA golf professionals; a Q&A session with the professionals, and an awards ceremony.

The annual Golf Classic was sponsored by Cal and Marje Johnson of the Johnston Group and the Shumway Family. All proceeds help provide quality before- and after-school programs and enrichment in education, the arts, health, sports, technology, and leadership.
