Sock Hop Takes Local Seniors on a Blast to the Past

Local seniors had the opportunity to twist and shout at the Sock Hop event on April 12. The event was organized by the Calabasas Senior Center and sponsored by Michael “Elvis” Bloom, a prominent Realtor at The Agency – Calabasas, and Livelle Mulholland, an all-new, luxurious Life Plan Community for adults 60+ being developed in Woodland Hills. Held at the newly re-opened Calabasas Community Center, participants enjoyed dancing to live music performed by ACME Time Machine, who played timeless rock ‘n’ roll hits of the 1950s, ‘60s, and beyond by all-time favorite artists such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Monkees, Little Richard, and more! Guests also enjoyed dinner provided by The Habit food truck. The Calabasas Senior Center provides a gathering place for seniors to enjoy activities that contribute to continued learning and enrichment, socialization with other seniors, and participation in recreational programs that promote healthy lifestyles.
