Robotics to Recovery Expo at West Hills Hospital
West Hills Hospital and Medical Center hosted a health care technology expo called “Robotics to Recovery” on October 15. The expo aimed to demonstrate that advanced robotic procedures can be performed, close to home, on the da Vinci Xi. The da Vinci Xi Surgical System encompasses the most advanced robotic, computer, and optical technology in the world and allows for precise control during both routine and complex surgical procedures. The da Vinci Xi is available to offer surgical intervention with faster recovery, less blood loss, less need for pain medicines, and smaller incisions with minimal scarring. The keynote speakers were Dr. Frank Candela and Dr. David Schreier. Both are experienced in robotic surgical procedures and offer this as one of many services available at Candela and Schreier Medical Corporation. Dr. Candela and Dr. Schreier, both general and laparoscopic surgeons at West Hills Hospital, are utilizing the da Vinci Xi for many of their cases.
