After a hiatus last year due to the pandemic, Pacific Festival Ballet (PFB) reimagined its annual fundraiser for this year’s production of The Nutcracker, and the result was successful and thoroughly enjoyed by 175 attendees. On November 14th, Moorpark Country Club was transformed into a decadent, visually stunning journey into the Land of Sweets, complete with an icy snow scene for a Christmas party adventure. Guests were treated to photo opportunities with Clara and friends, arts and crafts, and a mini-Nutcracker suite performed by PFB’s Pre-Pro students. The Sugar Plum Social took place both indoors and outside on the beautiful lawn, allowing guests to mingle in a safe and friendly atmosphere.

Kim Maselli is artistic director of Pacific Festival Ballet, the resident ballet company of the Bank of America Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks. PFB’s 2021 to 2022 season includes The Nutcracker, The Sea Princess, and Charlotte’s Web. Visit pacificballet.org for more information on happenings and upcoming performances.
